These terms govern your use of the Gazza Downs Biltong website and any purchases you make through it. By using the site you accept these terms.
1. Who we are
Gazza Downs Biltong is a family-owned and operated business in Australia that hand-makes biltong and sells it direct to consumers and through retail partners. Our contact email is sales@gazzadownsbiltong.com.
2. Products and pricing
All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD). Our biltong is a GST-free food, so no GST is added. We try to keep our product descriptions, images, and prices accurate — but we reserve the right to correct errors and to change prices at any time without notice.
Product availability depends on our production schedule. Occasionally a flavour may be temporarily out of stock. We’ll show this on the product page where possible.
3. Orders and payment
When you place an order you’re making an offer to buy. We accept the order by sending you a confirmation email. Payment is taken at the time of order via Stripe (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay).
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion — for example, if we suspect fraud, if the item is genuinely unavailable, or if there’s been a pricing error.
4. Shipping
Shipping is handled per our Shipping Policy. Delivery timeframes are estimates provided by Australia Post and are outside our direct control once the parcel leaves us.
5. Returns and refunds
Please see our Refund & Return Policy. Nothing in these terms limits the consumer guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
6. Subscriptions
If you subscribe to a flavour or to The Monthly Muster, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the frequency you’ve selected. You can pause, skip or cancel any time from your account dashboard. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you won’t be charged again.
We’ll send you a reminder email 48 hours before each renewal so you can skip or cancel if you need to.
7. Accounts
You’re responsible for keeping your account password secure and for any activity on your account. If you think your account has been compromised, email us straight away and we’ll help you lock it down.
8. Acceptable use
When using our site, you agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other customers’ accounts
- Use automated tools to scrape or disrupt the site
- Resell our products without our written wholesale approval
- Do anything that’s illegal or harmful
9. Intellectual property
The Gazza Downs Biltong brand, logo, pack artwork, photography, product descriptions and website content are our property. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any of it without our written permission.
10. Consumer guarantees
Our products come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. You’re entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You’re also entitled to have the product repaired or replaced if it fails to be of acceptable quality.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to either replacing the product, re-supplying an equivalent product, or refunding the purchase price. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top tells you when they last changed. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
